It’s been over a year since Yolanda hit Eastern Visayas particularly Guiuan, Tacloban, Ormoc, and other major cities and towns in central and northern part of Leyte.

There has been a lot of projects for the recovery of the survivors, from relief operations to rebuilding of houses that was destroyed by the strongest typhoon ever recorded that hit the land. But now, we would like also to extend this long pending project that is supposed to be done around March of this year.

However, for some reason as to papers and lack of capacity to handle the project, this shoe distribution by Samaritans feet is almost in the brink of cancellation and reclamation by non recipients.

The shoes are already in Cebu under the JI King Foundation for safe keeping. All we need to do now is to transport those shoes from Cebu to Leyte. With this, we would like to ask any assistance from you if you are willing to donate for the transportation of those shoes. We are raising around Php 30,000 ($800) to transport those shoes. The 3700 shoes will be given to Tacloban, Ormoc, Baybay, and Hinunangan areas. The Lighthouse Christian Ministry already did its part in donation. So now, we do encourage you if God is leading you to be a part of this project.

The way we will distribute these shoes is by washing the feet and praying for the recipient. It’s a good opportunity to share God’s love to these people.

If God is touching you to be a part of this project, we encourage you to be a part of this project and may this be a sort of “Christmas gift” to the survivors of Yolanda. We have time limit in distributing these shoes. We only have until December to give this, so time is of the essence.

NOTE: For any excess donation or in the event that the target amount will not be reached, the amount will go to other projects like building temporary house of worship in Tacloban, rebuilding of houses, and other ministries related to evangelism and restoration.
